    It's totally a well known term. You don't have to know closet cases to know it. That's like saying you've never heard of Norway because you've never been there.

    I agree with the ban. Somehow with the internet, there's an unwritten rule that you can say anything and get away with it. While I'm all for free speech, I think it's perfectly fine for a forum like this to exclude members in extreme circumstances. At a certain level, I don't think Mixum even really wanted to be part of the community here because he seemed to constantly crap all over it.

    One of the things I like about this forum is how out there it is -- really truly, I think as a group we're pretty difficult to offend. If mixum succeeded, then good riddance.

    Now, for the next order of business, is there any way we can ban crandc's avatar? I'm a huge fan of crandc and clearly want to keep her, but her avatar not so much. (obviously kidding about crandc's avatar...well pretty much kidding anyway lol)

    First, I apologize for misreading a comment as homophobic. Taken literally, it seemed so: Beards are by definition masculine (only men have them) and gay men are not "real men" so a gay man with a beard is cover.

    I've been part of LGBT community for lo these many decades and never heard the term used in the meaning of a closeted gay man's girlfriend or wife. Maybe it's just not used in the cities by the Bay?

    Per avatar, if we can agree that men won't show seminude and/or mutilated and/or groveling women I'll take down the guys. Carving a woman's chest open to install huge plastic balls so that her figure is distortedly disproportionate is one of the biggest turnoffs ever.

    Didn't mean to seem homophobic. I learned the term from my old roommate when he was looking for a female friend to take home with him for thanksgiving before he came out to his family.

    The girl got the unfortunate nickname of 'the bearded lady' from then on around our house.

    I really don't understand the avatar drama. Half naked chicks, half naked dudes... who cares. I see naked people every time I watch porn, doesn't seem to bother me then. :dunno:
