Was thinking about purchasing the Ipod Nano touch. Do any of you fellas have it? If so, do you like it?

My wife bought one last week in the 8 gb version. She travels a lot, and she wanted something to watch movies on that was small.

After one trip to Hawaii, she is taking it back and upgrading to the 64 gb version. I don't even know why they made an 8 gb version. With the internet capabilities taking up memory, all of the memory is basically lost if you transfer your iTunes library.

It's cool, but pay for the memory upgrade.

I thought the nano didn't have video playback? Are you talking about the ipod touch?

Yeah, that's what she bought. I guess I didn't know they made a Nano touch. I just have the older 'wheel' version of the Nano. Sorry if I confused you!

I think its overpriced. don't need track names really for the gym which is what I'd use it for. otherwise I'd just get a shuffle. $49 vs $150 for that. ipod touch is only $79 more and you can do so much more with it like surf the web, etc.

Why don't you just buy the shuffle?

The nano touch has a 8gb and 16gb versions. the shuffle is fuckin' 2gb! I need more capicity. ipod touch is too big for the gym. The size of it would probably drive me nuts.

I'm gonna' try to make it to the apple store tomorrow and check it out.

Might do that...I have the 3rd gen version right now but buying it new, because it's not being produced anymore, makes it a little over priced. I'm probably going to wait until mine stops working.

I've had mine for a few years. Got some water on the wheel about 6 months ago. It's probably the main reason the middle button is going so soon. the 3rd gen is perfect size for the gym and I'd get a shuffle for $50 bucks if it had a larger capicity option.

Btw, Ronan, you still lifting at the gym?

Yes, I've actually been pretty impressed with my results so far.

I've managed to go 4-5 times in the past three weeks even when working 50-hour weeks. I'm pretty skinny (127, 5'9") and have put on 5 pounds of muscle within three weeks (sitting at around 133 now). Seeing as I have a pretty low body fat % I'm seeing new muscle mass already so I'm pretty pumped. I'm going to England this Christmas so I want to get to 140, might be too much to ask but I'm making good progress.

At first I was pretty shy when lifting, mainly sticking to the machines. Now that I have more confidence I'm moving to the free weights and bench press. I know that is pretty pussy but whatever.

Steam room after workout = epic win.

I have had the last 3 generations of the shuffle and love it. Holds 600+ songs. I have over 100G of music on my home computer and just have tons of playlists I throw on there whenever I need a change.

People always make fun of me for rocking my BEATS by DRE headsets with that tiny thing.
