So far Bayless hasn't shown up in NO, that's for sure.

Bayless is an athletic stud . . . Monty Williams doesn't know how to use him.

Funny, but in reality NO scores almost 6 more fast break points per game than we do, and also has a high Pace factor. Bayless is just not playing well right now.

That's because Williams isn't using him. If Williams would give Bayless more time and not have him fearful of every mistake he makes he get yanked, Bayless would feel more free on the court and develop as a player. He just has to let Bayless play his game and not give such a short leach. Williams needs to find moire than 12 minutes a game for Bayless.

The reason Monty is not using JB, it seems to me, is because of defense. The biggest change at NOH, so far, this year, is that they became a really, really good defensive team.

It's not Monty's job to make sure Bayless gets good numbers. It's his job to win. And he's doing that.

The flaw in your mocking is that, while here, Bayless put up good enough numbers to play more.

    I'm FOR it.

I don't think that's (above) the entire set of consequences of the trade. Rudy has been given certainty of PT (outcome still unclear) which will hopefully allow him to settle into a clear role he can succeed with. It's also given Armon PT, and imho so far he's been superior to Bayless. I wish we'd gotten more value for Bayless, but I think we got enough positive out of it to make it worthwhile. Bayless in Portland through this year wouldn't have increased his value because of the circumstances and system.

I also think that if Bayless thrives, hypothetically wouldn't that make NOH more willing to deal Paul in a mega-trade? I don't think a hot start changes Paul's long term view. Couldn't we be a playa in that? This is chess, not checkers!

Hey he got 4 assist in 13 minutes of play last night. Monty is proving he is a rookie coach and the sooner he is gone the better it is for NO.

Again, the other flaw in your mocking is that up to this point, Monte is what Nate should be. Running more, 8.6 points per game than the opponent (2+ more than Portand) and undefeated. All this with a harder streangth of schedule so far.

All that from a rookie coach, and not from "one of the best young coaches in the NBA"

What Bayless does or does not do in NO has absolutely no bearing to me on whether Cho should or should not have done that trade. The only question is, what was Bayless going to do for the Blazers, compared to what the Blazers got for him.

The jury is still out on what we are going to do with the pick, but trading a guy (Bayless) who was going to spend the season collecting splinters, and getting back: (1) a Bayless-level draft pick, (2) a $2mil trade exception, (3) the ability to keep Patty Mills on the team, and (4) the payroll/tax savings from shedding his salary, looks like a deal I would do every day of the week. No wonder Cho was reportedly ecstatic about the trade.

Please, the Hornets played against teams with a combined record of 6-11, they played 2 games at home, 2 games on the road. They are playing very well because they improved their team a lot, especially defensively, and they have their super-star healthy and no injuries.

Monte is a great coach, we knew it before - and nothing changed. Nate is also a great coach, we knew it before - and nothing changed despite your constant bickering. The Blazers, without their best defensive anchor are playing pretty well as well.

The mocking is on the money - because he is sarcastically doing the same thing you do ad-naseum about the Blazers and Nate.

The Hornets win in spite of Monty Williams.

Not so far they haven't. I have league pass, and he has done a good job within the game. Just like the Blazers haven't won in spite of Nate this year either.

Monty wants to play boring slow possession type basketball. Do you know that the opposing team has taken more shots than the Hornets in every game this season. Williams focuses too much on defense and doen't have enough flexiblity to allow Bayless to go out there and play his games and learn through his mistakes.

I don't know why so many people like Williams, his flaws are so obvious.

Yet the Hornets still out pace us and out fast break us.

It means he has nothing better to do than to pick on me. Nothing to see here, just another wannabe bully who didn't get enough hugs as a child.

Mixum probably would have been suspended for badgering already.

Is that how you see it . . . here I am chuckling over our conversation thinking it was funny and you think I'm trying to bully you.

FWIW-I don't think I could bully you on the internet . . I was having fun because you seem to put all Bayless woes on Nate and then when he goes to the hornets you put all his woes on his playing. Come on, that is kind of funny. But I'll stop, I really wasn't trying to piss you off . .. for some reason I thought you were laughing about this too.

But maybe now you know how you might sound and why you piss off posters . . my digs at Monty has made you come out with personal attacks, imagine what you do to some posters with the constant harping of the coach of their favorite team. A little annoying huh?
