    Hello darkness, my old friend
Several times? Really, that's how you're evaluating the character of an offense? I've seen the Blazers run the fast break several times a game. Clearly, the Blazers are a fast break team.

So what did I miss? Do we have a dominant inside presence on offense? No. Do we have an all-star caliber big man? Maybe if LMA keeps up his early season tear, but ever since Sheed left we haven't (unless you count Z-bo). Do we get a lot of points in the paint or easy buckets? No, not really.

The question I have is... What does Chuck know about what it takes to win a championship? He's never been affiliated with a franchise that has won one.

The Blazers do when Oden is in the game. Plus, even without Oden, the Blazers are one of the more efficient offensive teams, due in large part to their offensive rebounding prowess, which do lead to some easy points. I'm not sure how a team playing to the strengths of its available players is a negative, either.

Right now, Portland is 18th in Points in the Paint per game this season, and that is without adjusting for pace.

The raw number actually puts the Blazers ahead of such teams as Dallas and, amazingly, Orlando. This is all without Oden and with two "perimeter" front-court players.

FWIW, Houston leads this category and has yet to win a game, and Miami is next-to last, right ahead of Orlando, and those are 2 out of the 3 best teams in the East.

Sure we do. Milleer and Roy have hit players cutting to the basket. Aldridge is attacking the paint. We get points on putbacks.

Aldridge can do it all, post, drive, hook, fadeaway, pick n pop midrange, knock down 3. Let's use it all. We are very lucky to have him.

I'm past caring what other people say about us. Winning will shut them up. And if it doesn't, then their own words make them look foolish.

Hey, beefcake, er, Chuck- how many rings do you have? No, no, no, not around your waist, on your finger? As in NBA championship rings, smart man.

I have to give it to Chuck

EJ: "What's wrong with the Thunder defensively?"

CB: "They play defense like I did."

Typical TNT writers avoiding the Blazers with any form of content when they came into the game with a 4-1 record. OKC... blah blah blah.
