Who said the Hornets would be a good team again? Was that me?

Certainly it was crazy talk to think a team with a healthy Chris Paul and a better starting lineup would blow by the 37 wins that they won last year. Combine that with Monte who will have his team in every game much like Nate and you have a team that's a threat to win 50 games.

    Just think

Paul/West/Okafor is not much different than Roy/Aldridge/Camby
    Thornton is essentially Matthews
Ariza can play the Batum role

Wow. That's amazing. The Hornets have been around for like 22 years.

Paul is betteer than Roy. David West is an All Star. Okafor is better than Camby. Wow.

Congrats to Monty for his terrific start. I think Nate needs to give him a call and tell him we need a good draft pick. Maybe he can send the injury bug to him for Christmas.

    Oh shit!

Every year there's teams that start out nice 4 or 5 games into the season only to wobble into the playoffs, or fall short of them all together. The Hornets are looking like 2010/11's version.

That said, I've always liked Monty as a coach.

This certainly doesn't bode well for our pursuit of CP3

Nate should call him to ask how to get more movement in our offense

How are the Hornets looking like that version? Because they're 5-0? That seems like a weird line of thinking.

Prior to last year the Hornets made the playoffs two years in a row with a healthy Chris Paul. With an improved roster and Chris Paul back I see no reason why they won't get back on track and make the playoffs again.

Because they have no depth at all.
