yeah last night while watching the game, Aldridge pointed to whoever assisted him, but it looked like he pointed to the camera. So the wife decided to say "That was LaMarcus pointing at you (me) calling you out for all the crap you have been talking about him the last 6 months"

lol nope. I am usually very harsh on one player and Aldridge was it when Channing, Outlaw, and Webster were all gone. But I have been impressed with him lately (except when he watched Ibaka tip in the tying basket last night)

I really don't know where to start with this post...

But, I'm pretty sure Pippen, Artest, Ron Harper, Bruce Bowen all have beef with it.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Exactly right. I'd love it if Miller were a one-on-one stopper. He never was, though in his prime he was a solid man defender. He's lost a step, so now he's below average at man defense, but still a good, smart team defender. Combined with his passing, scoring and rebounding, he's still a very valuable point guard. Considerably more so, at this point in time, than Fernandez, Johnson or Matthews.

How about Roy for Randy Foye, Chris Anstey and Shawn Respert?

No he's not. He's been in the league almost ten years now and he's hasn't been a key contributor on a playoff team in any of them.

    He's a black hole.

As for the topic of this thread, I'm worried. For the most part, he is just taking step back and fadeaway jumpers, many of which he has made in impressive fashion. But he is NOT going to the basket. Yes, he did a couple times last night (and didn't finish), but FOR THE MOST PART, he's not doing it anymore. He used to be able to score at will by going to the basket. It's been very frustrating and sad. It definitely makes me worry about his knee. Oden's injuries have upstaged Roy's so we sometimes forget how banged up Roy is. That said, if we were to trade him, I would want players like Paul or Melo but as been said before, these guys probably wouldn't stay here. Paul might if Oden turned out to be the real deal. But if I'm him, I'm just fine playing with Okafor.

That's another thing that is sad about Oden. If he had turned out to be the superstar we thought he'd be three and a half years ago, other players around the league would be begging to come to Portland and play with him.

Sigh. I hate losing to a division rival at home early in the season. Those things always come back to haunt you at the end of the year, just like the Denver game last season where Oden missed the free throws. Hopefully, wins against Toronto and LA will make me feel better.

Bullshit. The closest the Blazers have ever been to the second round in the last 10 years was with Randolph in 2003. We trailed the Mavs and 0-3 and then inserted Randolph into the starting lineup and we won three straight. He was a very key contributor. So he is 3-1 in the playoffs all time as a starter. Since then, he hasn't had good enough teammates to return to the playoffs. You hold it against him that he couldn't win with the Clippers or Knicks? Please. He immediately made the Grizzlies a better team last year.

He was a key contributor? He surprised a lot at the of the year with his, "stick-to-itive-ness". But, he was purely a lunch pale player then. 6th man type. Hardly a key contributor. That was Pippen, Bonzi, Rasheed, Sabonis and Stoudamire's team.

    How's this for key contributions?

    Game 4: 25 points, 15 rebounds. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200304270POR.html

    Game 5: 22 points, 9 rebounds http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200304300DAL.html

    Game 6: 21 points, 10 rebounds http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200305020POR.html

    Game 7: 14 points, 10 rebounds http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200305040DAL.html

He was our highest scorer and rebounder through those 4 games that he started. We won 3 of them. He was THE key contributor.

You said the last time they were in the 2nd round..

Nope. Read my post. I said "the closest we've been to the second round in the last 10 years.". Meaning Roy has only ever won two playoff games in a series. The last time we won THREE, Randolph was a key contributor. He is 3-1 as a starter in the playoffs. So you were wrong when you said "he hasn't been a key contributor on a playoff team.". He was a VERY KEY contributor on the 2003 Blazers PLAYOFF team that was only the 2nd team in the history of the game to come back from 0-3 to force a Game 7. And why did we come back in those three games?? ZACH RANDOLPH. You were wrong.
