I have to say I'm still cool with the Jack trade; it's going to come full circle and turn into a late twenties pick, which is right where we got Jarrett.

He's just got a little bit of mush mouth -- the content isn't bad, but the delivery ... yeesh.

Porter is fine, he's just new and a little mechanical/stiff. He'll loosen up.

If you aren't playing close attention, it's hard to even understand some of the things he says. That should not happen with a sideline reporter at all. He is garbage at it.

    Interesting stat:

All five Blazer starters had EFF between 20 and 22 for this game. Talk about balance. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. They contributed in different ways, but all five Blazer starters were very productive tonight.

Here's the EFF totals for the Blazer starters:

    Roy: 22
    Camby: 20
    Miller: 21
    Aldridge: 21
    Batum: 21

For comparison, here's the Raptors starters:
    Kleiza: -2
    Bargnani: 6
    Evans: 12
    Jack: 12
    DeRozan: -4

What a huge disparity in talent and production. Calderon, off the bench, with an EFF of 20 was the only player that kept the Raptors remotely in this game.

I had no problem understanding what he said. Maybe it's just your attention span. :)

    Damn, you got me!

My dad is about 40% deaf and has a hard time understanding soft speaking foreigners (Batum) but he said he could understand Batum better than Porter. I guess mumblers or word mashers are worse.

A good point. I was a JJ fan until recently. His inconsistency and lack of overall production for as much as he has the ball is concerning.

No doubt. Not that Porter doesn't have the qualifications for it, but going from head coach in the NBA to a sideline reporter on the local broadcasts? Ugh.. TP deserves better than this. He could have a better role within the organization.

I'm waiting for a 20 page thread disecting how malicious of a slap that was and how McMillan really does hate Batum thats why he runs him on a tight leash.

Not even I would start that thread. But I do find it funny that Nic seems to be on a shorter leash than the other starters....or some bench guys too, and instead of making a bad play called tmeout, onmly to be playfully given a hard time by the coach that has him on a short leash
