That sounds like Damon Stoudamire, not Andre Miller. Miller, in my opinion, makes pretty quick decisions and keeps the ball moving. I think you're placing too much importance on how Miller played in the injury-ravaged season of last year, when he had to adjust for the good of the team (and even last year, I still don't feel he "pounded the ball" for most of the shot clock or anything).
