While I generally agree if it comes down to it.. And Bennett is THAT much better than Hawkins as some reports suggest... Then burning a redsshirt to stay in the national title race seems like as good of reason as any. Lets just hope we are far enough ahead if/when we have to go to a backup that it won't matter.
That first 2.5 quarters, up until it was 18-13, hurt my heart. I don't know if I can stand watching a close game!
no question you play Bennett if you feel he gives you the best option to win. This season >>> preserving BB's 4 years of eligibility. That they've two good QB prospects in the next class only helps this Huff played QB at least one year while in HS. STOMP
agreed. I would def love to save a red shirt, but Winning a championship trumps that def. But as I said.. lets hope the only time we need a backup is in blowouts in the 2nd half, lets stay in the race AND preserve a redshirt
Hell, depending how the games go, we might be able to get him some decent snaps at the end of our last three games.
