"Though Yao Ming took just two second-quarter shots Sunday, the Rockets considered the stretch among his best this season as a consistent force inside, with the Timberwolves unable to defend him without repeatedly fouling. 'I think he did a good job of kicking it out and then re-establishing himself,' coach Rick Adelman said. 'He was aggressive in getting to the basket. It's going to be something we have to keep working on. Shane (Battier) and Kevin (Martin) … did a nice job finding him. But Yao said he did not do anything special. He had 11 points in the second quarter. He made three of five shots for 13 points in 17 minutes in a 120-94 win over the Timberwolves. 'I think that's what I always did the last couple years, not including last year,' Yao said. 'That's the game I know: post up; try to back down people; if they double me, kick it out; re-post; rebound.' "

They won't do this, but they should feed Oden the ball on most every occassion, and have cutters running off back picks. Oden showed last year that he is actually a very good passer. I would also tell LA, Nic and Miller that they need to be out on a break virtually every time down the floor with Greg and Brandon trailing the play. If the break isn't there I would have LA come up and pick and roll with Brandon. if they jump the pick then load Oden up down low where they should probably have a SF or PF because the C had to come out and cut off LA on the P&R.

They need to use him as a decoy to get Sean Marks open looks at 22 foot jumpers.

Play him only off the bench, when Brandon is resting so Roy doesn't become Rip Hamilton.

Ok, he could play with Roy, a little, as long as he just plays defense.

You should apply to be coach. There was more motion in that paragraph than I've seen in a Blazer's offensive set since the Adelman days. ;)

Funny. I have never lived in Seattle though, so I think I will save the resume paper.

I like Marks' hustle. I think he might be our new face of the franchise.

So, the message to get from how the Rockets used Yao best was: "only against the Timberwolves."

I wouldn't compare the two 5's as they're worlds apart. Ming can get an open look just by facing the hoop and putting the ball above his head. Greg is much much quicker and better defensively and on the boards so all hope isn't lost

    ...plus Camby is his backup
