Nash would certainly get us up there. If Oden were to get healthy and we didn't have to give up too much for Nash, we would definitely be contenders. I would love to get Nash here, but it won't happen.
Nash would be a great, if not perfect, fit with this team. He's a true point, who can really shoot from outside. We desperately need the deep threat from the point, so the opposition can't just back off Miller and double someone else or pack the lanes.
yes but it would be a small window. hell theres no window now anyway. why not. guess it depends on roys health.
Passes better than Miller, shoots better than Blake, defends as poorly as both of them. May as well improve the offense if Nash really is available.
Yet another open floor player on a slow it down team doesn't equal a contender. Nash would be great to get but only if Portland radically changes their game strategy. Otherwise he would be wasted. Actually, he would probably be benched since he tends to generate a ton of turnovers.
You think so? At least when Roy is doubled, nash would be able to knock down an open jump shot, so he would have to be respected as a shooter. I see it as providing the same crap defense, actually worse, but shit to super shit probably doesn't matter much. Just as good if not better passer, even in the half court, nevermind the open court. Much, MUCH better shooter. Worse rebounder. No post game like Andre.
Here is how I see it. With Nash, you don't need an offensive set. Nate knows how smart he is and might just let him run the show. Secondly, Nash has been looking for somebody to take the load off of him there. Roy has been looking for the same. Maybe, just maybe, they might be able to work it out. I have a feeling that If Roy was on the receiving end of some of the gimme's that Nash makes happen, he might just buy in. I also think there is a big difference between the pedigree of Nash and Miller. Roy doesn't have to defer to Miller, because to be honest, what has Miller done in his career that calls for that. Steve Nash on the other hand, is a past league MVP who demands respect.
I don't think so. Even if that was the case, what could Roy be pouty about playing next to a 2 time MVP? I'm not sure Nash has ever had a teammate that didn't fit with his style.
roy and nash worse then roy and miller??????? damn i respected your opinions up until you just said that...
Nash controls the ball even more than Miller, so if you think that Roy/fans complain about Miller pounding the ball now, wait and see what it would be like if we added Nash. Also, Nash LOVES to push the ball, and if you haven't noticed, Roy doesn't particularly like to run. At all. Ever. Sure, Nash is a better shooter, and he's a great passer, but his style doesn't fit Roy at all. I think he would be GREAT for Aldridge and the rest of the team though.
