    said hes not playing 5 on 5 anymore...freeman thought 2 weeks ago he felt like oden would be back late december and now it looks like it will be even later then that. when it rains it pours... im almost ready to tip my hat to mixum

    Maybe the lockout will be a godsend for this team? A year off to get fully healthy might not be the worst thing in the world.

    I had exactly the same thought. So there's an upside to all of this: we'll no longer think of the lockout as an unwanted pause in the Blazers' dynasty!

    (Another upside: how old will Kobe be after the lockout?)

    In fact, everyone on the team can get them. Let's face it, they're going to have to get them at some point, unless they get traded away, so why not do 'em all at once?

    As I read it, his opinion is based in his apparent fact that Oden is no longer healthy enough to scrimmage 5 on 5, let alone play in a game.
