"Asked to describe a win that saw the Jazz rally from a 19-point halftime deficit -- Paul Millsap drilled three 3-point shots in 27.2 seconds in the final minute of the fourth quarter -- the longtime backup and workaholic long overshadowed by Carlos Boozer first said he was speechless. Then the humble, quiet starting power forward who has suddenly emerged as the team’s premier offensive option in the paint and on the perimeter beamed. Millsap had never scored 46 points in his entire life. Not in youth ball, not in high school, not in college and definitely not in the pros. Top off the outing with the fact that Millsap sent the game into overtime with a tip-in as time expired in regulation, and it was a night that the small-college player who once had to prove that he even belonged in the NBA will never forget. This one was special for Millsap. And for an in-transition Jazz team still searching for an identity while embarking upon a challenging four-game, five-day road trip against some of the premier teams in the Eastern Conference, it was a victory that could go a long way. ... I think it shocked [the Heat] a little bit. Me popping out, there wasn’t really a guy in my face,' said Millsap, who also set a career-high with 19 field goals and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds. 'So, I think I’m going to continue to try to shock people.' Shock people, he did."

I tuned in at just the right time to catch the fun. Utah is a division opponent so I should have been rooting for Miami, but I wasn't. It was cool to watch. I love how Utah passes.

What a fucking tough team to buckle down from 20 down, lose your starting PG at the end of regulation due to foul trouble, and still come back for the win. Gutsy win Utah. That is a win that can set the tone for a whole season.

Or it can cause a certain Utah pf that he's now a threat from beyond the 3pt line.

I still have nightmares from when Uncle Cliffy fell in love with that shot.

Man, just think if we had gotten Millsap or Lee instead of Miller. I love Andre's game, and I think he's good for this team, but those guys are significantly younger and they play a position that we could definitely use help at right now.

And think of all the threads and arguments over who should be our starting PF.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Roy at point guard. If he can't score at will anymore, he can pass to everyone else and shoot open threes. Blake on steroids.

Oh come on, you know that it will destroy Roy's confidence when Steve Blake blows by him. You're willing to take that risk?!?

I honestly don't think you have to worry about that from Milsap. He has always been the type of player that put his hardhat on and went to work in the paint.

I thought Miami was given the championship already and were going to break the season record for wins. Why do they even have to play these games? 5-3 is pretty impressive for the best team every assembled in the history of the universe.

The best team ever assembled in the history of the universe was the 1999-2000 Portland Trail Blazers. Unfortunately the curse of the Sam Bowie was too powerful, and that team was unable to prevail.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
The best team ever assembled was the the 2010-11 Blazers team we assumed we'd have back in 2007. A future Hall of Fame center, a superstar shooting guard, a star power forward, a talented scoring and defensive combo guard and a young Scottie Pippen. Plus a deep bench.

Stacey Augmon vs. Travis Outlaw...one-on-one. I want to see it.

That would be pretty one sided. Augmon could shut that guy down without working hard.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
The Blazers' version, not the Atlanta version. And the Outlaw of, say, 2008-09.
