What's your sushi spot of choice in Portland? Just had lunch at Sushiland in the Pearl. 'Twas the bomb!
I used to go to Sushiland in Beaverton...been open for a long time! I heard saburos is the place to be though. never been though.
My friends all like Sushi. I can't acquire a taste for it and I love seafood. I know its trendy and all, it just tastes funky to me.
I've loved sushi since i was 10. Sushi Land next to Bridgeport Village is alright. Sushi Train in Tualatin is great. Sushi Ville in Tualatin is alright.
This. Best sushi you'll eat with great prices. There's always a line outside, and I've never seen it not busy. Right in Sellwood.
Saburos is OK, the portions are un-Sushi like big and a bit artistic, but the best Sushi, imho, is in one of the small strip-mall restaurants on the west side. "I love Sushi" on Cedar Hills is a Japanese/Korean mix with fantastic Sushi, and Ichiban on Cornell road near Beaverton is great as well.
Bamboo Sushi - the first certified, sustainable sushi restaurant in the world http://www.bamboosushipdx.com/ If you got the dough, its the place to go.
I was told that "I love Sushi" has moved to a bigger place in the Beaverton Mall and they are no longer that good - as they are working on a large scale/speed Sushi train now - so, I am not sure if it is recommended anymore.
I like Hama Sushi over in NE Portland (N.E.P) on Sandy blvd. http://www.yelp.com/biz/hama-sushi-portland I think for the medium priced ($$) expensive rating I think it deserves a 4 star for overall quality, taste, service, etc.
Saborro is great and inexpensive for the size of the portions. But my place of choice is Sushiville / Sushi go round on 23rd. Mmmmm
