Because I don't think Nate would do it. I don't think he would bench our star shooting guard as long as he's healthy.

Simple solution: play Roy the first minute or two of the game, then sub him out until late in the 1st quarter and play him in effectively a reserve role while still getting the ego massage of starting.

What if he's not a star any more?

I like your thinking! But the way things are going, it might just be better if he sat out altogether.

Well, considering I said that before the whole Roy injury thing broke, there's a chance that he might not be our star shooting guard anymore. But I can tell you right now that they won't play him at all until he's healthy, so you can forget your super sub idea.

Good to know we have a Blazers insider on the board. But anyway, if he really is injured, the point is moot. His reason for crappiness is not failing to mesh with Andre, or sulking because the offense is not running through him - it's injury. And if he's injured, he wouldn't be a "super" sub anyway.

You're misreading my post. You quoted something I said yesterday, before the whole Roy/knee thing broke. I'm saying you might be right, and maybe Roy ISN'T our star shooting guard anymore if he's not healthy.

    Yea that's it...
First of all, you proposed that the best/highest paid player on the team be brought of the bench because he is going through a slump?
Secondly, i don't regret taking Bargnani as Roy was not even being considered as a top pick. I prefer Bargnani to Tyrus Thomas, Adam Morrison, even Aldrige. Hindsight is 20/20, I'd rather have taken Rondo over any of those guys..
