That doesn't make any sense. I get annual MRIs on my right knee and I don't get them in a typical MRI. It's a machine where you sit down and they encapsulate your leg with the magnetic envelope.

I bet Jason found this out by peeking through blinds.

B4L, GO does wear custom orthotics. He's commented that the only time he doesn't wear them is with dress shoes, because those are too tight.

I should recommend a trip to Port Washington, WI to get some custom fit Allen Edmonds. It's the best money I've ever spent on shoes.

    Maybe Roy's leg is claustrophobic.

They should put Oden in there, and then put him down after they are done.

Thanks for the rep. Thats good to know GO has custom orthotics, but I hope that they incorporated a heel lift on his likely shorter limb. To be more detailed (and if any of you were curious or wanted to know more of what I am talking about please read on). In case you guys were ever wondering how to know if there is a limb length discrepency you use a tape measure (like the one you use to measure your arm length and or neck length for suit fitting) and you measure from your anterior superior illiac spine (this is the bump on the anterior aspect of your hip and is easily palpable) to the central portion of the medial malleolus (the ankle) but crossing the tape measure directly over the center of the knee. This is a quick and easy way to know a crude measurement and is very quick to do in clinic. In order to be official you should have limb length scans performed to know the exact difference (but rarely are these ever necesarry). Oh, anything over a centimeter in difference from each side measured is considered significant and a heel lift should be incorporated. The reason I even mention this is because I see many patients in my clinic who complain of knee pain, low back or hip pain and when I ask them if they have ever been measured by their PCP, orthopedic doctor etc for this condition they tell me repeatedly that no one ever told them this could be a source of their pain. Most find an immeadiate improvement in their pain in the 1st couple of weeks and you can imagine if you help straighten out someones alignment that it will keep pressure of the knees etc. Hope this info helps.

I have orthotics, but the foam like "padding" on top of the custom made plastic part gets destroyed in like a month and I got tired of getting it replaced so I just stopped wearing them..

So are you asking him for advice on fixing this or you just felt like complaining?

BTW, either answer is fine with me.
