You just got done admitting you were too young to remember anything from KMart's draft, so I'd hardly say you're an authority on what he did well and how he compares...

I never said that he should be chucking up 3's at a high clip,or that he's a sharpshooter. All I said that he has range out to the 3 point line.

I said I needed a refresher on that draft. I know what Martin was like in his early years, I remember those Nets teams well. I'm not saying I'm the "authority" on what he did well. Are you trying to persuade me that Martin was a better prospect than Griffin?

I'm saying they're very similar players and suggesting that Martin as a prospect (ignoring all the major injuries) is comparable to Griffin, despite what you said about him being a horrible #1 pick.

I watched Martin in college. I'm in my 30s now. Blake Griffin was/is a better shooter, rebounder, and passer than KMart coming into the draft. Martin was at best Shawn Marion, but without an effective (but ugly) outside shot, during his NBA career.

Come one now. Martin was coming off of a broken leg his senior year, and prior to that, he couldn't really score on his own.

There is no evidence that supports that. And I don't see how you could see that with your eyes considering he's taken 11 threes combined in college and the NBA, and made 3 of them.

I remember hearing a rumor that we were going to trade for Fizer and Crawford from the Bulls, but unfortunately it never happened

Damn, I thought Fizer was gonna be a beast in this league! What a joke!

Shooting 3 for 8 from behind the arc just tells me that his focus is downlow where he can be a dominate player, but if he decides he wants to fuck around and shoot some 3's, he can hit those as well. Kinda like how Zach and Rasheed toyed around out there before they started chucking them up at a significant rate.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I vaguely remember that being a potential trade package for Jermaine O'Neal, before he was dealt for Dale Davis.

Yeah, I think you're right. I was very high on Crawford when he came out. It's funny... I also thought that Dajuan Wagner was going to be something special. That guy sure disappeared.

A lot of people thought DeJuan Wagner would be great. All we ever heard about was how he scored 100pts in a game once in high school. He was compared to Allen Iverson. He had the same rare disease I had, ulcerative colitis which played a part in ending his career after he had to have his entire colon removed. He wasn't going to be much anyways though.

Of all the ways to end a players career, that sure is one of the strangest ones.
