Re: UFC 122: Marquardt vs. Okami (Nov. 13th) This is going to be an interesting event. The card itself is one of the worst Joe Silva has put together in a long time--most likely because there is a chance the show won't go on. Germany have (at this moment) banned the UFC from national television though the event is still on. There is a heavy tilt towards boxing in Germany and there seems to be a lot of politicking going on. The UFC planning an event and going to Germany in spite of this is pretty defiant.
Re: UFC 122: Marquardt vs. Okami (Nov. 13th) Kenny Robertson out vs. Pascal Krauss. Replacement being sought.

Re: UFC 122: Marquardt vs. Okami (Nov. 13th) Just to clarify--I don't mean the fights will be bad. In fact most of the match-ups seem even which should make for compelling fights. However there is almost no significance to any fight on the card. The main event isn't even a number one contender battle; its a number two contender battle.

Re: UFC 122: Marquardt vs. Okami (Nov. 13th) Without spoiling anything, you're right so far. Fights are pretty good and quite entertaining but they're all relatively meaningless and for some reason seem exponentially meaningless when the main events are meaningless (just feels like much less buzz around the event for lack of a better description).
Re: UFC 122: Marquardt vs. Okami (Nov. 13th) Yeah pretty much how it played out, huh? The fights were decent but lacked any sense of urgency. The main event was uninspired and will lead to a similarly uninspired title fight, supposing Silva keeps his belt.

Re: UFC 122: Marquardt vs. Okami (Nov. 13th) $60,000 bonuses... Pascal Krauss & Mark Scanlon Karlos Vemola Denis Siver
Jorge Rivera vs. Alessio Sakara was pulled from the card because Sakara was ill. They will fight in the near future. Both fighters were paid--in fact Rivera got his win bonus as well.
