Haha. Pretty much holds true for every trade possibility. "I don't see how this trade could be bad unless we make a bad deal." Just sayin'...
That's not true at all. Trading for Birdman would be awful no matter how much we give up. I hate that guy.
Varejao >>> Birdman But to get back on the topic, Iggy is owed a pantload of money: $12,345,250 $13,531,750 $14,718,250 $15,904,750 If Roy is out indefinitely Iggy would be an awesome pickup. However, if they ask us to take Brand off their hands I hope Cho tells them to kindly fuck off: $15,959,099 $17,059,726 $18,160,354
Interesting per/36 comparison for Birdman, eh? http://www.basketball-reference.com...&c4stat=&c4comp=gt&c4val=&order_by=trb_per_mp
Tell them they should take what they can get for him. Afterall, the Hornets are offering up Peja's contract. Atleast we can give a little bit of talent back, maybe some youth as well.
IFFFFFFF Nate lets them run, Miller, Iguodala, Batun and Aldridge on the break with Oden manning the key and initiating the break with rebounds and blocked shots would be a heck of a lot of fun to watch. Oden, Batum and Iguodala are also very good to excellent defenders. The biggest problem with that line-up is the lack of 3-point shooting to spread the floor. Batum is the only above average 3-point shooter of the bunch and I fear opposing defenses would pack the piant to double Oden and deny Miller's penetration - all the more reason to get out and run and get some easy baskets before the defense has a chance to get set up. BNM
Well I can tell you one thing. If Philly trades Iggy here, at least they won't have to worry about him passing the physical!
I'm not really feeling the Iguadala love, precisely because of the lack of three point shooting. I think having only Batum out there to stretch the floor means Batum spends all his time pretending to be Bruce Bowen instead of expanding his game. And Oden spends all of his time with two or three defenders parked on him in the lane. Oden is still our best shot at a championship. I'd like us to put guys around him who make him better.* I just don't see Iguadala AND Miller complementing his game much. *Insert Hugh Laurie joke here
It just a matter of time before LaMarcus starts chucking up a few 3's a game, so its kind of a moot point IMO.
I think we need to start looking at replacements for Roy as a scorer on our team, and Iggy is one of the only options that might be available at this point. Who do you think would be a better replacement?
Yup. If there's one thing the Birdman can do, it's collect rebounds. Plus he can swat some shots coming from the weak side.
