Who would you take between a healthy Amare or Elton Brand? Elton has the better defensive game while Amare slightly has the better offensive game. Again we are talking about the Amare of 04-05 season.

Brand.. much better on the defensive end and he has more rebounding skills than Amare, amare has the edge in scoring tho.

Brand. Better rebounder, better post game, better defender, better shot blocker. Amare is still very raw. Very talented but still raw. He lost some credibility to me when he went down with his injury at the start of the year. He doesnt have a polished inside game. His game mostly consists of dunking voer folks. That is good, but not as good as a polished inside game like Brand has. Give it some time, and Amare will become better than Brand.

I'm gonna say Brand. It's always better to have a pure low post threat nowadays. They are a rarity, and they are more valuable. Taht, and his rebounding and defense is superb.

I'd take Amare since he is more explosive to the basket. Dallas actually has had some success guarding Brand with Diop this year. Amare there is no answer.

But for now I'm going with Brand whose a better rebounder, has go to moves downlow and can hit the midrange, something Amare needs to show he can hit on a regular basis. Amare is nothing without a pg.

I'd take Brand. He is a much better defensive player than Amare and isntg too much worse at the offensive end. He could easily give a team 25 and 12 every night

I would take Elton Brand, he with some backup has held up the Clippers very well this year, taking them to nearly the conference finals. Amare has much better support than Nash does, as Wade2shaq said Brand is better than him at defence and not much worse at offense. However this is not the main reason I would take Brand this year over Amare. Amare has suffered an injury and has been out of the game for a long time, he's sure to be stiff and not going with tha flow as much for a while this season.

I was doing the comparison of Amare in 04-05 to Brand now. No team in the league could stop him from having a dunk fest. Offensively he was more dominant than Shaq imo. Sure he lacks in other areas that Brand doesn't lack in but to me I'd rather have the dominant player.

Amare did benefit off of fast breaks and low post passing by Nash, alot last year. I dont think he is better than Brand yet. Brand puts up the digits more often than a calculator :lol:But seriously, he has been consistent for like 4 seasons, maintaining, and dominating the post, well playing sound defense [IMG]

I'd have a long post talking about Amare but I'm not allowed to talk about Amare with the injury so i'll just pick Brand for what most people said. I'll say this though. This year or next year if Amare didn't have his injury, he could have been a top 3 or top 4 player. Now I'm not so sure he'll ever be. If he still has that same athleticism though with his improved shooting i'll be very excited.
