Talking about Oden on Rome's radio show, he said that teams will be lined up to sign Oden, and speculated that OKC may make a play for him. He also said that he didn't think that Portland would offer the QO, but if teams are interested in Oden, then Portland has to offer it, IMO, if only to have a shot at matching any contract. Letting him walk with willing suitors seems crazy. Hell, maybe he could even be a part of a sign-and-trade and get something in return for him.

Also said he was at the Boston-Washington game last night, and the lockerrooms were in disbelief about Oden's knee problems. Players know Greg can play when he is healthy.

I was against it, but Mannix has a lot of NBA connections, so if teams are going to sign Greg, Portland may as well keep their leverage. It's not my money.

I'm for the Blazers offering the QO. But it is easy for me to say that since it isn't my money.

I think all of the f'ing we have done to Utah the past few years vis-a-vis overblown qualifying offers (Milsap, etc.) is really going to come back and bite us.
