Did they seriously give Roy a Max contract when they knew his knees were shot??? That might be the stupidest sports related decision ever.
This team makes it really hard to root for it at times. It just can't seem to stop making decisions that set it back. ugh.
I feel this team going the way of the 49ers.... terrible management. Terrible coaching. Terrible ownership.
The Blazer management knew Roy had serious knee issues, but clearly the full extent was hidden to them by Roy and his agent. It had to have been as KP was pulled from the contract negotiations by Vulcan and Larry Miller completed it (for the same deal I might add- way to get tough, Larry). But it is indeed a chronic fail by Allen, Vulcan, Miller and KP. No one had the guts to take on "the face of the franchise" and risk losing him over very questionable knees. You might say Blazer management was weak kneed over all this.
Well when Cho gets the rug pulled out from underneath him, if they need somebody who will build a tough team and cease the bullshit, give me a call!
Roy is part Jedi and when he is properly focused he can use the force to strength and protect his knees.
