But you had your best defenders out there. Great defense doesn't stop opponents, or there'd be teams scoring ZERO in games.

You win by scoring at least one more point than the opponent. At least last time I checked.

Well, simply comparing Rudy and Ronnie, Ronnie has a higher PER and shooting rates, is a better rebounder, and better defender who fouls less and generates a bunch of takeaways. And he's just getting healthy

I see two guys that are roughly equivalent. I'm looking at the per 36 numbers.... Ronnie gets you more steals, but Rudy's no slouch. Rudy gets us a 3pt shooter who's not a one-way player so much.

But I don't really see it as an either/or one player thing.

    I see it as bogans/brewer/korver vs. rudy/brewer/korver.

My gut reaction was "Yes". But looking at the numbers, the fit and thinking about what it will take to beat the Heat, I'm a "Hell No".

One of the problems with getting Rudy is you are still going to want to upgrade the SG position. Then what the hell do you do with him. Asik a very solid backup who is willing to play that role.

    Exactly.

Rudy's nice, but at the end of the day he's not enough of an upgrade to really make that much of a difference. Asik is probably always going to fill a position of need.

I third that motion. If we're going to make a move, it either needs to cost nothing or bring an obvious upgrade.
