Re: Saunders 'As Safe As Anybody' In Detroit Nobody should have thought that Saunders would get fired in the first place. Maybe it was a bad playoff performance against Miami, but after all the regular season wins in only his first season, I think you have to cut Flip some slack. Give him the right pieces on the bench. Speedy Claxton or Bobby Jackson.
Re: Saunders 'As Safe As Anybody' In Detroit Detroit is still paying Larry Brown and if they fire Saunders would have to pay him and the next coach they hire, no way are they going to be paying three coaches. Last I looked there are no championship level coaches looking for jobs so Saunders is staying.
Re: Saunders 'As Safe As Anybody' In Detroit This is obviously very unlikely and Im not saying its likely or it would happen or anything, but imagine if Brown leaves NY and goes back to Detroit? Like I said not happening, but it would be an interesting scenario..
Re: Saunders 'As Safe As Anybody' In Detroit They left on bad terms, no way Billups would want Brown back anyway.
