Peja is huge expiring deal and Bayless is young, athletic point guard. Not a bad deal considering how terrible Jack has been this year.

If you're looking for JB to play point, you're in for a disappointment, based on what we saw in Portland.

    Wow...this just made my morning.

This trade would be so money, where do I start.

Peja would just come in and play the year out and HOPEFULLY not get signed to a stupid ass contract. I would also like if he were to be traded by the deadline. He's still a solid player, but he would just take up space. No Hedo 2.0 PLEASE.

Bayless, while a disappointment in Portland, would possibly pick his game up. I like his up-side and the close group most of the Raps players have could serve well. And if he doesn't work out, than trades or we wait it out.

Also seeing the loss of Marcus Banks (Who sucks so much, I'm sorry) and DA is great. Open up space for young guys and ED DAVIS!

The expiring contracts work for both teams with Peja & DA having it.

This also shows the trust Jose Calderon is getting, but I'd like to see JB give Jose a run for his money for starter.

The only issue is who's gonna play on the wings. We now have Derozan, Weems, Kleiza, Barbosa, Wright, and Peja

    SG - DeRozan / Barbosa

    SF - Weems / Kleiza / Peja / Wright

It's tight as fuck, but we'll have to see what happens. I see Wright getting the boot with this deal.

Damn. I just looked at your roster. I have a question. Outside of Toranto, what do you think the over/under is for the percentage of fans that could name the Raptors starting five?

I'd set the line at 1%, and I'd take the under. I've been an NBA fan for 35 years, and I could only name 2.

I'd guess less than 5% could name one of your starters.

Well that's what happens when you're the only team in Canada and most people who watch the sport are American and could care less about shit outside their own state.

Nobody would recognize that lineup if they played in NYC.

Well yea, none of these guys has a name for themselves. There is a reason we are pegged to be last. No star, no image...but that's being developed. People will know the name DeRozan, Bargnani, Weems, Ed Davis...young and coming up - love it.

I think Bargnani (being number 1 pick and italian) and Derozan (dunk contest) are our most recognizable players. But i like the team we're putting together a solid team. Hopefully we draft a point guard and maybe sign a center and we're pretty set

Bayless' stats as a starter in Portland

    23.8 mins, 12.8 pts. 3.4 ast, 1.8 rbs, 0.5 steals.

not bad for a young point guard

For sure, and I think he'll buy in to whatever system Triano has (None seems to me) and he should want to play. He has a great chance to be our number 1 and play 30 minutes a game. I really like this deal.

However, I'm still not sure what will happen with out massive wing logjam.

I'd like to see this trade go in within the hour or too. I'm reading talks are going on about the cash NO will send.

I want JB and Peja to play tomorrow cause if not, we got 1 PG for the game.

fan for 35 years? that makes u old and the might account for amnesia because the raps played the blazers two weeks ago and if u can only remember 2 of our 5 starters, then maybe age is getting the better of u.

I was thinking about that, but in the end we have a log jam. I expect Wright and probably Peja by the end of the year gone.

And any word on finalization of this deal?
