It's not like Sterling is going to pay him what he's worth. I'm against tearing up the team and rebuilding for the sake of rebuilding, but if we could get that guy, I'd be fine with missing the playoffs. I'd be willing to part with any combination of ANY or all of our players for a deal that brought Griffin to Portland. He's a legit superstar and Portland needs one badly. I think a championship team can be built around him. I you're listening, Please Make it happen, Cho!!
Send them our whole starting lineup. We'll take all their crappy players to make it work and they can have a more competitive team in the present. 1-13 isn't working for them. What happened to the playoff talk?
You've gotta get creative and go for it. How did the Celtics get Garnett and Ray Allen? How did the Lakers get Pau? They went for it. We should throw everything at them. The Clippers are world renowned for making bad decisions. We should take advantage of that.
the way we'er going we'd get him and then he'd walk on the court and http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4597949 all over again. "avoid anything to do with knees if you're the blazers" dude's beasting - but you know he'd royden up as soon as he got here
LA, Miller, Oden, and Joel for Baron, Kaman, and Griffin works. They still would probably not go for it though. Camby substituted for Joel also works on the checker.
Should have put it in green or added our collection of Euros. Seriously though, I think the only thing that would get Griffin out of Clipperland would be a deal that would be too good to refuse. A team would have to take the horrible contract of Baron Davis, plus give up alot of talent. For the Blazers, it would almost saying "Give us Griffin and any other salaries on your team, then take as much as you want from us". They signed alot of players this offseason and would have more to work with once they become tradeable. Again, highly unlikely.
