Oh man, that sucks. Hopefully the Blazers lose their next game to make up for it.

Oh man, that was a wild wild game. I knew fitzy would play well against his old team. Poor Owens though... leaves bills and gos to the team who is below them in standings. But I kinda wanted bills to lose out so they could get luck from Stanford ! Now that has no chance as the panthers won't win another game. In an off topic thread I once said I would rather have 49ers roster then bills... But let's say I have changed my mind lol.

In all honesty though I feel good they won 2 in a row but like I said they are really killing their draft pick in a meaningless season. However Steve Johnson looks like a stud WR!

It's not what your GM does with a high first or second round pick, it's what he's able to do with his late round selections that really matters ... I know because my team's GM (the Packers) has taken building through the draft to ridiculous new levels.

I will say one thing, you don't need a new QB, you need playmakers and players everywhere else -- Fitz looks good.

Who in the late rounds has GB built their team with? A majority of their contributors are high picks.

When I read the thread title, my first inclination was that Denny had somehow fined MIXUM for various forum infractions committed.

All of these guys are either starters or regular rotation guys (Not all of these guys are Thompson picks, but still):
    Donald Driver: 7th round
    Josh Sitton: 4th round
Sam Shields: undrafted free agent nickelback
Tramon Williams: undrafted free agent, signed off waivers from Houston
    James Jones: 3rd round
    Desmond Bishop: 6th round pick
Cullen Jenkins: undrafted rookie free agent
Frank Zombo: undrafted rookie free agent
    etc.

There are certainly a lot of high draft picks that the team counts on, but the point stands that in the NFL a personnel department has to be able to pick guys off the scrap heap and identify unheralded talent at least some of the time to build depth.

How badly do Bills fans want Andrew Luck?

    They should stop winning.

Actually you might have a point ... Luck probably is worth tanking for.

Another scenario (that I've read on other boards) I like more:

Bills try and go after Kevin Kolb, and go draft AJ Green/Patrick Peterson or trade down to get a left tackle.

I would be a terrible NFL GM because I think drafting an offensive linemen is boring.

It is extremely boring. How can you get excited about getting an offensive lineman? I quit football in high school even though I was good because I was an offensive lineman. It sucked.

Me too. Well, I could have been good if I cared and had a coach. Our coach would have ran the wing T if Joe Montana and Jerry Rice went to my high school. Way to make it fun there Oz.
