Ben Wallace is a FA this year, and the Raps are looking for a solid center. Obviously Big Ben is the perfect guy for us, but how much do you think he's going to want? Keep in mind he's over the 30 years of age, and he might want a long term contract.Discuss

I doubt this is the place Ben would want to go....I doubt Colangelo would want to waste this much money on a short term fix considering this team is so young...by the time Bosh and Villanueva get going Wallace would be 35 and keep the team from signing younger players to help.

I mean... a young team isn't gonna survive very long in the playoffs. We need to throw in a few vets in there too, and yes I agree with your point BCB. I say we should try for Pryzbilla or Nene.

I think Joel Przybilla would be the perfect fit, he doesn't demand the ball and wouldn't need to score and would be a good defender and shotblocker. I wouldn't waste my time with Nene, he seems like a guy that will always be hurt and inconsistant.

I would love for this move to happen. We will finally have defense [IMG]:D:D.But in real life, this wont happen. He wants Max. If we sign him to max, no moneyy for Bosh and a scorer FA (N).

If Ben Wallace left Detroit to go to Toronto he defense wouldn't be half as good as it looked in Detroit, taking away Rasheed and everything he had there...I just think he would dissapoint.

I'll be surprised if Raps can get big ben without giving up charlie V or Chris Bosh. I think they should just draft LaMarcus Aldridge as a center in the draft, no need to do this.

No. I'd much rather go for the cheaper guy. We need some money left for Bosh. I'd go for Nene or Prysbilla, draft Aldridge, then we're set at Center. And Big Ben wouldnt sign here anyway..<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (GArenas @ Jun 7 2006, 12:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I'll be surprised if Raps can get big ben without giving up charlie V or Chris Bosh.
