Next year looks like a lockout and so I know owners are trying to make money any way they can now. It seems almost to convenient the way this season has gone for our Blazers.Tight lipped information on our players health, status and returns to a level that would make the pentagon envious. To understand the level of smoke and mirrors perpetrated on our loyal fans with non refundable season tickets, let's think what we "THOUGHT" we had going into this year? A healthy fit in shape allstar B ROY with rest and bounce in his step, Oden and Joel coming back around the corner and LA in the best shape of his life! Can you feel it people? A real run for the WCF's, battling the Lakers and championships in the next two years for sure! I'm buying jerseys, getting excited, thinking about RIP CITY! Who wasn't? That was one freakin month ago people!!! Now we have Oden out again for another year, ROY our max face of franchise player with no meniscus in either knee and every Dr. saying even microfracture surgery wont help his cause done too! Is this surreal or what? What!! I don't believe Paul Allen and crew can be this much in the dark about their team, NOT POSSIBLE! I know for sure that B Roy knew his knees were garbage since college, but that didn't stop him from signing a 90 million dollar contract did it? Wether his greed got the best of him or not, the bottom line is he death punched this franchise for the next 5 years because he can't deliver to the level he was paid for. Further we can't get close trade value for him either! The same is true for Oden! The more I think about this the more dishonest it seems. I think the Loyal Fans of Blazer Nation have been handled by our franchise player and the ownership. When all is said and done I think a bad taste will linger for years especially if B Roy turns into a broken down version of Steve Smith and Oden into a poor mans Olowokandi. I feel sorry for Cho cause he's truly got his work cut out for him!
I think the bet should now be.... how long will it take for the Blazers to announce Roy is done for the year too?
no i thinking goin in to season.... they realized rebuild was on way. thats why we traded bayless. a team hoping to contend would never go with aarmon johnson as backup pg
You understand why doctors are saying that microfracture surgery won't fix Roy's meniscus problem right?
Plan B: sit Roy down for the year, develop the younger players, get a high draft pick, re-sign Oden for next year and take the high draft pick along with NO draft pick to contend next year.
You realize that Armon played much better than Bayless this year and probably better as a PG than JB ever did play, right?
If this is how you feel then go away. I sure you can find some other team that will tell you every thing you need to know. How can you blame Roy for taking the money there is no one on this board that wouldn't do the same thing. You proable blame Greg for his injuries, that he knew going into the draft that he would need two microfature opps. When the lockout happens it will give Roy, Greg and Marcus time to rest. Then we all can just watch college ball and euroleague ball and wait. Thats what I plane on doing it should save me some money because I won't have to buy LP for a year.
Pretty sure you can't regrow what ya don't have is what I've heard the reason surgery wont be effective.
How can you predict no playoffs for a third straight year, and also predict a long season. A season is 82 games. A long season would include playoffs. Go Blazers
oh thought I missed some big news or something lol.. this not having a computer at home is killing me.
You mean YOU'VE been duped. The Blazers' sent me a letter before the start of the season that revealed all that was to transpire and were totally upfront about it. They said Brandon planned to shut it down after sucking in the preseason, Elliot had a preexisting condition that was going to be "discovered" and lead to season-ending surgery, and that Greg would never play again. I should tell you that you should expect LaMarcus to spontaneously combust in the next month or so - that was in the letter too.
