I've recently finished ACB and am just getting started with New Vegas.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is a nice game. It doesn't have much variety in environments (only once city this time rather than multiple) but they packed it tight with stuff to do. At times it feels like a expansion or big DSL for AC2 but that is fine. If you're wondering if it moves the main storyline of the series forward the answer is yes but only slightly. Also it is every bit as cryptic. Haven't tried multiplayer yet.

Fallout: New Vegas is another game that is more of an expansion/DLC than a new experience. Really it is just a massive new environment that hardly changes the FO3 experience. But I think most people that enjoyed FO3 would happily take a 50-hour expansion. I'm finding a lot of bugs and glitches with it, which is the norm for Obsidian, but I haven't downloaded the game update patch yet so I need to do that and see if it makes a difference.

    Your thoughts?

    I love both games.

I'm about 25 hours in to Fallout, but I'd be further in if it wasn't for the fact that the game has completely failed twice in the last couple days. Yesterday, for no apparent reason, the right analog stick just stopped working entirely in the game at my save file. I tried to reload, but no luck. All I could do was walk back and forth and side to side, no aiming whatsoever. So, I had to load a save file from an hour earlier in order to play the game, which pissed me off. However, that didn't piss me off nearly as bad as today. I was in Vault 3, and two awful things happened. First, on one go-through, my game completely died in VATS mode. I couldn't back out of it or choose to shoot anything, all I could do was move around. However, what pissed me off more than that was when I was exiting a room that autosaved, I walked out of the room and stepped immediately onto a landmine upon exiting. It did this every single time, I had no way of using that save because it was instant death when it loaded. Talk about fucking stupid and obnoxious. Despite these annoying things...I still LOVE the game and would recommend it to anyone who like Fallout 3...I just hope you have some patience on occasion.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is also really good...at least from what I can tell. I've only done one memory sequence in the main story, but it feels very familiar to those who've played Assassin's Creed 2, and to me, that's a great thing, given that AC2 is a top 5 game of this generation for me. What I can say about the game though, is that has my favorite multiplayer out of any game I've played this year. It's completely unique, and is a wonderful diversion for those who aren't fond of online FPS action.

I was going to make a thread about Assassin's Creed this morning, you're always a step ahead of me.

I've played about 2 hours of ACB so far and I'm enjoying it almost as much as the second. Maybe it's because I missed it? I don't really have much to say so far considering I haven't played much of it, but it's great so far.

    ACB is fun. Bottom line.

New Vegas is full of graphical glitches and occasionally crashes. I was hoping patching the game would help it out but Obsidian always releases games that are less than polished so what are you gonna do? It is still a great game.

I think I'll wait for ACB until I can score it sub $25 used.

Not a main part of the story, right?

Depending on how AC3 picks up, what happens in ACB may or may not be very important. Stuff happens but it could probably be summarized in a minute or so (ACB opens with a recap).

Glitches encountered in last session alone:

    -- went invisible
    -- went translucent
-- stuck in first person zoom mode
    -- PipBoy went invisible
    -- companion didn't follow a map-based location change
-- "red" items, doors, and containers didn't register as theft
-- was randomly attacked by NCR trooper after completing mission for NCR despite having "idolized" rating with group
    -- "frozen" map marker
-- dead-end quest (Crimson Caravan/companion final task; probably have to complete a seemingly unrelated quest first despite finishing objectives)
-- no map markers, quest log for NCR supply shack assignment

Yet I can't put this shit down.

I know how ya feel...the two glitches I mentioned encountering probably would have made me say fuck it to any other game. But I'm in love with this game, and despite the awful glitches, can't stop playing.

So, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood officially has the most addicting multiplayer experience I've played this year (to be specific, it's the Manhunt mode). I just spent the last 4 hours playing it with a couple friends, and we dominated the entire time. I think we lost one match, and it was to a team that had 3 people at level 43+, while our highest level was 23 at that time (keep in mind though, we beat them in the next match).

I got stuck and lost in Vault 37 in New Vegas. If anyone has beaten that portion of the game they know how frustrating it can be. I was able to find a walkthrough on YouTube that got me out, thankfully.

Made me think back to the time pre-internet, back in the NES and Genesis days. Back when you bought a game based on the box art. Back before games were reviewed. Back when getting stuck in a game either meant several tedious hours of experimentation or putting the game down and never playing it again. Back when Nintendo Power or the Game Genie was your only resource. What a time to be alive.

I've been to Vault 37 and never actually beat it (I think). But Vaults, in general, are a clusterfuck of confusion in this game. There's a reason why games like this are the games I actually buy the guides for.
