Terrence Jones. Kid is the real deal, not just cause he's a Portland boy. To me, he's a mix between Lamar Odom and Lebron. Can handle the rock, has the ability to make plays and plays with a motor.

    I can only wish.

I got a chance to watch one of his games last year, he looked pretty awesome for a prep player, but I'll be perfectly honest, I have no idea how what I saw translates to an NBA court.

I will say one thing, if we do draft him it means we had a pretty rotten year ... or the Hornets fell off a cliff.

That's a deal breaker. I don't care how good he is.

In all seriousness, he looks like a real diference maker. He would be a huge addition to our team, and Portland should do everything in their power to move up to get him. Roy, LA, Batum, picks, it doesn't matter.

Oh, and in before someone claims we don't need him because we already have Nic

I want to add, I get the Lamar Odom comparison a little bit, but Lebron is/was in a completely different stratosphere of dominance as prep player.

It'll be interesting to see how he pans out for the whole year in Kentucky. I suspect he's going to be out of our draft range by the time June rolls around or he may not even declare because of the potential lockout -- or maybe he will because he'll get a rookie deal under the existing CBA? -- who knows.

Kyrie Irving is the player I really want. Now that's a difference maker for us at the point guard spot. Too bad Batum is our only trading chip at the moment....

The Lebron comparison has to do with his ability to handle the rock and create for others, not necessarily his dominance. But, I would say, his numbers at UK this year have been pretty dominant.

He's a beast. But he does have that classic 6'7" PF/SF tweener size.

The player I really like in this years crop is Jared Sullinger, a 6'9" 280 lb. beast.

I like Sulllinger a lot too. An old school type PF.

It seems like a really long ways off, but I will be curious to see what kind of players Cho goes after. For instance I think it became pretty clear after awhile that KP really had an affinity for finesse players and guys who thrived in college or in Europe because of their offense. Cho says he likes guys that play both ways. How will that manifest itself I wonder?

Like Greg Oden (known more for his defense), Batum (same), Pendy (Bruiser)?

I think KP just tried to maximize his draft positions for whoever he thought was best value. If anything, I would argue that jlprk hit the nail on the head - KP's shtick was to take a flyer on players that fell to him because of injury concerns (Roy, Batum, Elliot) or some other reason (Bayless, Rudy).

I don't think there's a question that he is an NBA small forward.
