<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Not going to work out for any team picking below 3. Tyrus may has not been given any gaurantees from Chicago this I can assure you. His camp promised him to be a top pick in the draft but the reality is he is slipping. Now that doesnt mean he want be a good ball player its just many teams think there are others that would benefit them better. I know some teams dont even have him in the top 7 and again he could become a very good player but he is missing some intangibles on his offensive game. Defense as everyone knows is a hit and miss thing out of college. Tyrus would be a great fit in Minnesota but I wont be trying to guess what teams are thinking. Again his camp saying he wont work out for any team below a top 3 pick could cost him millions.</div> Tyrus Thomas is being foolish, unless he feels he will be exposed in workouts I don't understand it. What he did in college does that set him apart from everyone else like he thinks.
I am going to agree, this is one of the worst ideas he could possibly come up with. If he works out for the top 3 teams only, and all three of them pick someone else besides him, then what? Most teams i would assume are going to want to pick someone that they saw in workouts, and was willing to work out with the team. If i was a GM not in the top 3 this would automatically wipe him from my board, even if he isn't picked in the top three. Seems like he might bring some ego problems with him to camp.
He also stated that he is not going to play against any other players declaring for the draft this year. This is a very foolish mistake, if only 3 teams saw him play, his chances of getting drafted by anyone else only decrease.
what's he thinking? he's a good player why would he refuse to workout for other teams? i think it's gonna hurt him a lot because then i think he may have some kind of attitude problem. if he's doing this he probably thinks he's better than everyone. does he think he's the best player in the draft or something?
What? Everyone knows he wont go top 3. Andrea Bargnani and Lamarcus Aldridge play the same position as him, and are ahead of him. He needs to work out with more teams then just the top 3.
I think this is where a player needs to use his own judgement rather than listen to his agents. There is absolutely no question in my mind that his agents told him to do this, and I don't understand why in this situation Thomas isn't willing to go against his agent's "advice."
Wow what a total idiot. I mean all he has to do is think here. The Raptors arent interested in him. The Bulls might have interest but probably more for Bargani or Aldridge and the bobcats dont even need him. This really screws up when he'll get picked and hes really making himself look ignorant and cocky. Im beginning to think hes not really mature enough for the nba

The maturity issue is coming up and I agree with you, Rudy Gay has said he will workout with any team and against any player in the draft, now thats a good attitude to have.
