<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Knicks coach Larry Brown is as good as gone. Without saying a single word, a gesture by Isiah Thomas and the look on his face confirmed it. When the Knicks' president was reminded that he said Brown would be back as coach next season and was asked if he still feels that way. Talk about one picture being worth 1,000 words. Thomas smiled and shrugged with hands outstretched and palms up in the classic "What can I say?" gesture. -- Newsday</div>Source
I doubt it. A coach like Larry Brown would not want to go through coaching a team like the Knicks again. Get a 1st year coach for next year because LB isnt coming back. He'll probably retire.
I think his pride will make him return and see if he can get another winning season. But if he doesn't, lmao.
I saw it coming. I've always seen Larry as overrated, and while he is a good coach, his inability to utilize the Knicks strength this year showed him to be stubborn. He has been a great coach, but his time is done
I think Larry still has some coaching left in him, but I just don't know if he will return next season, and I know that he won't come back to the Knicks. I think he will take a year off until a position opens that intrigues him, and my thought is that if the Warriors play under par then he will coach them in two seasons.
If only he would come back to Philly... but that won't happen unfortunately.Anyways, I think we all saw this coming, and I think it is a shame that a lot of the blame for the Knicks woeful season is being placed on Brown. I agree that he was stubborn, as KMart said, but he almost always has a horrible season the first year with a team and then improves them because he tears them apart and builds the franchise back up.I can see why the Knicks want him gone though... I mean, if I'm shelling out hundreds and millions of dollars to both my players and my coach, I sure as hell want a winning season. However, Isiah Thomas never really made the job easier for Brown with all the players he put on that roster prior and during Brown's coaching tenure with the Knicks.
He won't coach another team or sign a coaching contract with another team. Come on guys, he is going on 70 here. He has won an NBA Championship, is one of the best coaches ever. Time to hang up your suit and tie and go home to your family.

I don't know... Larry Brown just seems like the type of guy that wants to and will stay around the NBA or the game of basketball in whatever way he can. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets offered a front office position by a team if he does indeed decide to stop coaching.Although, knowing Brown's history, I don't think he would settle for retiring from coaching after the horrible season the Knicks just had.
really i had no idea he wasn't coming back after hearing the same story over and over again for the last month and a half. he's not coming back and we all know that. his health is an issue and our retarded owner james dolan puts 100% of the blame for this horrendous season on larry brown which shows how stupid he truly is. i want him to come back but he isn't. if isiah coaches the knicks then i may stop watching basketball altogether.
I think his coaching years are over. Obvioulsy he didn't have the best Knicks team but he could of done better with them than how they played this season. And, I am sure that Larry will be retiring or maybe looking for a new team.
