Once again, we see a talented, speedy, well disciplined and coached team adjust, maintain their assignments and roll to a convincing win after being down early. What a dream season, for this 30 year Duck fan! I don't believe in jinxes, so it's just awesome to be planning a trip to Glendale with some family and friends. Amazing. The only question...$600 for upper level seats or $1000 for lower. Ouch! Oh, and what a nice surprise to wake up, on this pleasant but warm morning in Latin America, and see that my fourth favorite team (UO, TCU, Stanford, Nevada) took the legs out from under the boys in blue. Love it!! Go Ducks!! Enjoy the ride!
This season will be one you can tell your grandchildren about. "I remember 50 years ago when the Ducks won their first title (if we win that is, knock on wood). Sure it may not seem like a big deal now after about 10 of them, but back then, it was everything"... would go something like that. LOL! WTD
By the way, does WTD become our slogan thing. Like Bama has Roll Tide, Texas has Hook 'em, Oklahoma has Boomer Sooner, etc...
That small voice in my head wants me to believe the Ducks can play at this level for many years to come... I know...
Ah yes, being a fan of a front running team has its benefits. Even shady calls from the officials. The 2 personal foul penalties were crap, but I wasn't complaining. I'm a lifelong Blazers & Lions fan, so getting screwed by the officials is an every game occurrence. It felt weird benefiting from the calls for once. I love Chip Kelly. I think he's my favorite coach of all time already. His aggressive nature & his ability to adjust within the game makes me so confident in this team.
