He's actually in the 2nd to last year of his contract with the Suns.

By being an analyst with the Blazers he can get paid for both gigs.

Props for bringing up a new name rather than the retreads we usually peddle out as Nate's replacements.

I looked him up, and he seems to have everything that we're looking for:
    - winning experience
    - education from the best (Pop)
    - technical aptitude and good understanding of the game
    - not afraid of putting players in the their place ( I can't recall the last time Nate berated or made an example of Roy/Aldridge, whereas Pop does it all the time with guys like Manu and TP. That goes a long way in getting everyone on the team to buy into a concept, rather than having double standards like Nate).

Yeah, I've been enamored with Budenholzer for a couple years now. I think he's the next hot coach in the NBA. Kind of how I felt about Thibedou.

Budenholzer is supposed to be a master at game planning for opponents and worked his ass off to get up the ranks. I think I read somewhere that he's the highest paid assistant because Pop realizes how important he is.

Let's get Hubie Brown. I like his analysis better.

I wouldn't mind trying Flip Saunders if we had to switch coaches.

Terry Porter because ES isn't really available and Nate has already failed.

I wanted him the last couple of years. I think with Cho in charge, and his relationship with Nate, it's unlikely anything happens unless Nate leaves. I would imagine Cho would just promote Bickerstaff because of his ties with Seattle

Sigh. Always loved that guy as a coach going back to the BBF daze.

Thibs might be an option. He probably should stay in the East for an easier chance of making Finals though.

So is the consensus becoming that Terry needs to be replaced?

For me no but Thibs is a clear upgrade so if someone came available I would jump at it.

Stotts is fine with me but as I've said many times, we need a defensive coordinator like Thibs, Laimbeer or Nate on the bench. Nate coached defense on team USA and that's his forte
