Good to see. http://blog.oregonlive.com/terryrichard/2010/11/portland_international_airport.html I appreciate the food and other items are cheaper, the same price as you would find out of the airport. Also the free wifi.
I really like SeaTac and PDX, though PDX doesn't make as many connections as SEA. Especially going overseas. Love the free wifi, though.
Seattle has poor bathroom placement, at least last time I flew through, spaced too far from one another. The security lines are pretty lame there as well. Also, the roads leading to Sea-Tac are very fucked, especially with road construction.
I like Minneapolis-St. Paul's shopping options. Detroit's in-airport monorail is pretty fucking impressive too. they have a super long terminal and it makes going to catch a connection a while away a breeze.
I have no complaints about PDX. It's one of the few things that the Port Authority has done right in the past two decades.
LAX is the 70s dammit. I always fly out of LAX. Its a depressing, smelly shithole with a bunch of weary passengers. Its pretty efficient as long as you never check anything in though.
PDX is decent, I wouldn't say it's the best. It's small. Detroit's monorail is awesome. I wish Schiphol had something similar, I go through there every time I fly internationally and always end up hiking a marathon to get to my next flight. It's like a fucking mall. Same with Charles de Gaul, expect at least it was an interesting look mall/air port. I fucking hate hate hate Vancouver's airport.
Quite an endorsement! It's the best airport in the country dude. What has the Port Authority done that is so wrong?
PDX is functional, and I have experienced very few (if, any) delays flying in/out of there. But the lack of international flights is a bit frustrating. There's only a few to Canada, (I think) one to Mexico, one to Europe, and one to Asia. I hate going through immigration in SFO or LAX.
JFK might be just as bad, especially if the weather does not cooperate where one plane out of schedule makes everything grind to a halt.
