I'm happy about this player. Let's see what he can do. The cool thing about him is that nobody really thinks he's going to be all that great. But let's say he ends up having the impact of a Ben Wallace or he comes out of nowhere like Paul Milsap or David West.
Although one would think his return is imminent I've also read that the atrophy of the injured arm is very noticeable. Not sure if that will necessarily prevent him from playing but you'd think they want that arm to be strong and balanced with the rest of his body before he comes back. That could take a while if its the case. On the other hand the same report said that his legs look noticeably stronger than when he was at Baylor and Udoh is on record saying hes been doing a lot of lower body work and put on some weight just in his lower body. He was 237 lbs when we drafted him, it'd be nice if he was up near 245 now. Is Beans still weighing in around 225 lbs? Udoh looks stringy but if hes in the 240 range thats legit NBA weight.
Ekpe did practice yesterday and again played one-on-one earlier today (with Cheaney again I presume) via his twitter. "Gettin closer..."
He was supposed to have a full-contact team practice today... waiting to hear how it went... In other News, Lou should be back this week...
Both practiced today. Footage and interviews with Smart, Lou, and Udoh: Damn, Amundson is a lot taller than Adrien lol. Can't wait to see what these guys have got.
I can't even do that in slow motion . That said, one has to wonder why Monta blows straight line layups in a "game." I'd love to pick up Udoh for fantasy league, but he's going to come off the bench behind DLee. He won't get enough minutes.
