He's often the worst player on the floor and they are still running sets for him like he's the old Brandon. FIRE NATE.
Third consecutive worst-loss-of-the-season by a Blazer team that looks pretty much defeated. It's pretty bad for the team right now. I have no fucking idea what they can do to right the ship.
Bench outscored 41-10. I'll throw a couple of bone's out there for discussion. Jerryd Bayless may not have been the best backup PG in the world. But last time I looked, he played hard every night, he attacked the rim and got to the line even if he wasn't shooting well, and he played hard on defense. So what if he isn't lighting it up in Toronto now. But it sure as hell is a lot better than what we have now. Dante is getting dominated at the backup PF position and we need help there now. He is too small, and we need help there now. Can we get that help? I think we could if Cho worked the phones. There seem to be a few PF through the league that are good but aren't good fit's where they are at. Lastly, has all the bad shit that has happened over the last year, from injuries, to Maurice Lucas, and injuries again, finally just crushed the spirit of this squad? I am just starting to wonder if that after all the team endured over the last 2 seasons, if it finally just hasn't mentally broke them?
I've wondered this for awhile ... I'm not wondering anymore. (which is why I created the "Boom" thread the other day).
I think the Blazers may be similar to us fans; they've been thinking of a championship, waiting for Oden to be healthy and dominate alongside the superstar Roy. Now they understand it isn't going to happen and it's difficult to maintain that intensity and focus that they had the last two years.
