Good point and I don't disagree. I guess then it wouldn't be on a interim basis.

MM is such a drama queen anyways. His avatar is appropriate, not so much for the character or the hair but the fiery pink sweater.

But to his point the coaching ability and the thoughts of the players about the coach isn't going to go away on its own.

Yeah, he should be put into a position to succeed: after all the trades have been made and the team looks like it's hit bottom and is heading back up.

Correct. And if so, they should also be picking up players that fit the style of ball he likes to coach, so the situation is custom fit.

And in general, if they have a coach in mind, and that coach is willing to commit, they should do this period. Alternatively, they should pick a system (perferably not one that grinds knees to powder) and pick a coach and players as they come available. That's riskier but is easier to attempt.

Terry Porter is so overrated as a coach on this board.

The problem is Larry Miller. He has total control of player personnel and from the day he arrived the make-up of the roster started being drastically altered, and has no resemblance to the team of the future we were promised. As usually happens in rebuilding through youth, impatience won out and we discarded our plan in the feeble hope that we could win now with just a couple of vets. Well, that didn't work out so well.

The team has been torn apart, with important players foolishly traded with no thought as to what we got in return.

We are vulnerable at all 5 positions, our stars are all aging or permanently injured.

The deep, young bench with so much potential is gone and now our bench is nothing special and without any decent bigs.

I think it's a miracle Nate has gotten this much out of them.

Didn't that lineup win 2 of 3 when Roy was out?

You could have had Tyrus Thomas instead of Aldridge.

Anyhow, I like Nate fine, but you can't fire the players. Sometimes you have to fire the coach to shake things up.

Really? I think I've heard a few people mention him as a decent replacement candidate, but beyond that ...

I gotta admit, any coach who can't win with Steve Nash on his team (when coaches on either side of him did) might be throwing up a red flag.

I was suspicious when he threw up in his hotel room after Toronto beat them in 2007 ending that long winning streak. Like "WTF" suspicious.

Then took about a dozen bets with fiends and family that we'd never win a playoff series with him in charge after the opening night debacle against the lakers in 2008.

Anyway, as the host of this shitty shitty party I should say, welcome to the party ABM!

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

    We have a problem.

I'm not happy to be right, I'm happy that this fucking charade might almost over.

It's too bad we wasted our 2 playoff seasons with him at the helm.

That's the only positive right now. With each loss, Nate is being exposed as coasting off the talent of individual players. Now that Roy is robbed of his health, Nate's lack of a game plan is being exposed. I've said it since he got here, he coasted off of career years from Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis to his huge contract with Portland. He should pay those two guys a commission.

So, will acknowledging that you're correct make the "I told you all, but would you listen? NOOOOOO!" stop any faster? :D
