He wasn't the only one. Let's go through the decision making process here. We had 3 guards to trade, one who didn't want to be here. So we trade our backup PG(who still wanted to be here), draft 2 players from a college team that didn't even make the tournament. (Does it really make sense that a team has 2 nba worthy players and yet doesn't make the tournament???), and we let Juwan Howard go. Then we field a bench unit with 4 of 5 players under 6'8" tall and no physicality and are expecting success?
Probably due to playing time because Rudy was still here. You don't always grant players request for trades.
This. Camby? Backup C. Matthews? Backup SG/SF. Bayless would not have helped as much as some think, but more than others think... maybe we split the last 4 games, but then what/ Does that scab over the real problem here? Maybe it's better this way after all.
Indeed; he'd already started grousing a little to the press about how he had to be strong in the face of reduced minutes.
Brandon Roy says a lot more than he should. It's time to zip it up and just play basketball. This goes for everyone else on the team. If I was the organization, I would pull the mic away from him. I get tired of his asinine comments.
Hell, even Josh McRoberts seems like a better option than some of the guys on the Blazers' bench. He's actually rebounding at pretty good rate right now and is averaging over a blk and stl in only 23min a game. He's not terribly good but he he's probably better than Cunningham right now.
Bayless was already re-traded, is averaging 14 mins, and is shooting 35% so far. He's had 1 good game, against the Clippers.
I agree with this. With only one Major League team our press is a bit overbearing. Not gonna happen but I wish they would give it a rest for a min or two.
Too late. He didn't do well in his first couple of weeks with a new team after being traded during the preseason. He's a lost cause. Ed O.
Bayless has had far too many chances and failed each time. Can we please not waste time on some 22 year old veteran wash-out when we could be focusing on some 22 year old rookie with unlimited potential for our rebuilding phase? Thanks.
I think we should focus our energy on talking about the 22 year old washed out seasoned vet with knee injuries instead.
And, did he have two shitty games before it? Can we bank on two shitty games after it? One good game in five, man. That's all he can do.
