31/13/4(ast)/2(stl)/1(blk) against the Spurs tonight ... other crazy stat: Clippers only have 4 wins, but 3 are against Hornets, OKC and Spurs.

EDIT: I only bring this up because we play them in a few days.

With all the pain that's been this season as a Blazer fan I'm sort of taking refuge in watching this kid come along for the Clips. His last 6 games have been just crazy, 29.8ppg, 14.0rpg, 4.7apg, 0.8spg, 1.0bpg while shooting 60.5% from the field. He's got to work on his FTs, and he's almost to cautious about picking up fouls defensively to the point where he won't contest shots inside most of the time, but he's been better than anyone could have predicted so far.

I swore he wasn't gonna be able to get his in the league when they drafted him. Thought he was too much of a tweener. Was I wrong or what?

    This trade works.

    Clippers get:

    Brandon Roy
    LaMarcus Aldridge
    Andre Miller
    Joel Pryzbilla

    Trail Blazers get:

    Baron Davis
    Al-Farouq Aminu
    Chris Kaman
    Blake Griffin

I severely underestimated him, too. He is bigger than I thought he'd play and WAY more athletic...

And he's doing this after a whole year off from a knee injury. Where are you, Greg Oden?

Griffin has atleast 20 pts and 13 rebs in the last 6 games.

I swear that guy has the best ups I've seen out of PF since a young Shawn Kemp.

You aren't alone, many on this board thought that. After watching him DOMINATE his sophmore year at Oklahoma and his style of play. I was convinced he was going to be a stud. He basically was that team. After he went down with that injury I thought his athleticism that he relies so much on would be compromised. Doesn't look like it.

The Clippers are ridiculously young. They're currently starting three rookies, plus Eric Gordon (Brandon Roy's replacement in this year's All-Star Game, unless it's Monta Ellis) and Ed's fave, DeAndre Jordan (who makes Outlaw look coordinated, skilled and unathletic).

Makes you realize how hard it is to predict success in the NBA. Look at Wes Matthews, he's our leading scorer lately and he wasn't even drafted. Every NBA team passed on him, twice!

It makes me a little sad, as these are the kinds of numbers and the kind of impact GO should be having. Oden has that same kind of freakish athleticism.

Oden has (had?) great athleticism -- in terms of power -- for his size, but BG is on a whole other level ... it's not even close when you factor in his fine motor skills and body control.

But it's GO's size combined with that athleticsm that makes/made him such a freak. I think you also underestimate Greg's coordination. You really have to look back to his Ohio State days, because he hasn't yet been in basketball shape in his four years as a Blazer.

I am not a fan of other teams or other team's players. Blake Griffin is the only non-Blazer I'd pay to watch, and he could make me a Clippers fan. I despised Kome and even moreso, LeJames, from day one. It's just something about their attitude. But Blake Griffin seems like a decent human being. I guess I'm not used to that. He makes an amazing play, and instead of pounding his chest and ripping his shirt off and pinching his own nipples like most jerks who play in the NBA, he just looks so humble. I'm a fan.

I watch a lot of hoops just because I enjoy watching the NBA players make completely ridiculous things happen. Even the worst games have some amazing plays. The athletes in the NBA are crazy good.

Do you work for the Phoenix Suns? Cause most championship teams are top defensive teams.
