Well, what's he going to say? Get your ass on the football field? Firstly, he's not a paid athlete, so it's not his job. Second, it would look really bad if he told his player that the birth of his child was less important than a football game.
Phil should pay for a mobile hospital so she could give birth in the locker room. Or even better, on the sideline. That way he'd only miss a series or two.
