The team is not scrappy enough It doesn't make shots And any other bullshit cliche Nate is gonna lay on us
Awful 2nd half. This team just seams to lose focus, which is hard to believe with coach Nate. At least it was nice to see Joel back in the lineup.
Because Joel played better. Camby didn't even try to grab a board early in the game and Nate sat him. Once Joel came in, he was way more effective.
Absolutely insane how badly this team's confidence is shaken. It will be very interesting to see how much rope Cho (or his bosses) give to Nate and the team as presently constructed. On a positive note, it was great seeing Joel back. Loved the standing O he got from the Blazer fans there.
The last 3 minutes of the 1st quarter through to about 3 minutes left in the first half, when Joel was in. Lots of hard picks, open shots, and easy makes. Decent basketball all around.
Yes. We looked great in the first half. Mills played great (5 pts, 5 assts). Joel set screens for Batum and was very effective. And we led by 12 at halftime. We have looked great in the first 2.5 quarters in all 6 losses. Led by 9 against Utah, led by 12 against Nets, by 8 against Sixers. All in the third quarter.
There was a night in 2005, when the Blazers played Sacramento; Joel had a terrific game offensively and defensively, I believe nearly 20 points and well over 10 rebounds. We lost the game, but I remember thinking how great it was that Joel played well. I recognized then that the team was riding the bottom. We are there again. I checked the score at the half, it looked good. I check the score at the end. All of a sudden I am thankful that Comcast screws me out of watching the games!
Nate..."Evidentally they're not responding to me"....Interviewer: Where do you go from here? "Home to Portland"
