This is as healthy as Brandon Roy will ever be, his knees will not improve from where they are, and he looks absolutely dreadful on both ends of the court.

His contract is the epitome of an 'anchor'.

    :sigh:

Definitely a scary thought. I wonder if medical retirement comes before the end of the contract. That'll at least create a BREC and be covered by insurance.

I think he has still shown himself to be a capable NBA player. Franchise player playing like this? No. But he isn't "done" by any stretch. I don't think he looks dreadful as an NBA player. I think he just doesn't look like the Brandon Roy we know, and unfortunately, Nate seems to treat him like he still is. I think playing like this, there'd be other teams that would take on his contract as a #2 guy, and I think he could still be a good #2 guy. I don't personally want to get rid of him, but along those lines, I think he'd look great, as-is, in Dallas, alongside Dirk. Maybe Orlando alongside Dwight.

I thought the NBA took out the insurance on all its players, and the company that handles the policy could elect 5 contracts that it will not cover. I also think that Brandon is one of those 5.

Oh thank god; I was worried something good might happen to the team.

Yeah, his contract will be pretty bad for a #2 guy on a team. Same way Rashard Lewis' is. Brand. Arenas. Rip. Baron Davis.

I'm not saying we're in any sort of great situation with his deal. I was posting primarily to his abilities, and that he is far from done. And his contract, while bad, if necessary, could be moved, IMO, to the right team.

maybe this will clear it up for you and can be the next theme song for the Blazers new marketing campaign.

Saddest development of a horrific season.

Today may very well be the lowest point in the last 25 years for the Blazers

Brandon has turned into a pre-madonna of epic proportion!!! Forget he has no knees, tonight showed his true colors. He loafed up and down the court, played no defense and yelled every freaking time someone brushed him looking for a foul. He got stuffed taking bad shots how many times, and couldn't hit the rim on a handful of others. He thinks he should be getting Kobe calls.... what a laugh!!!!

This team just got swept by the worst teams in the east and our allstar did almost nothing! He needs to be on the bench from now on!

He duped this organization for 90 mill and now we see what that money really buys!

    WOW!

Look, we're 0-6 since Roy's return, and it's not just a coincidence. This team was playing better basketball without him. The games are too dreadfully boring to watch right now. I can't imagine spending my whole evening and $100 to actually see them live.

Any of you who've seen the Blazers play over the last 6 games know what I"m talking about. Incredibly boring stagnant offense, no heart, just complete ineptitude all around.

If I were Cho, I'd be working the phones, trying to get Roy out of town. Trade him for an expiring contact if you have to.

It's sad, that in this day in age, one guy is getting 15 million dollars to dribble a ball around and bore the hell out of people. Oregonians should be spending those millions to help the local economy, not funnel it into the pockets of these losers.

I've got to think that tonights loss had to put a pretty hard nail in Nate's coffin! These were the worst teams except for the Celtics in the whole NBA and they all beat our team! GOOD GRIEF!!!!
