watched the game. Wasnt able to get in the game thread. Rose is amazing! 30 pts including the game tying 3 at the end of regulation. He had 11 assists, 5 steals, 7 rebounds, and one block. He had 17 shots in the paint and zero fta!! refs are not giving him the calls he deserves. Boozer, 25 pts and 9 rebounds! That is more like it. Some bulls fans said Noah doesnt look the same. The guy had `13 pts, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks, 4 assists, and a steal! He did, however, have 6 turnovers. Korver had 13 pts. He didnt do too well in 3 pt attempts. 1-7. Gibson gave us 8 and 7 off of the bench, along with a couple of blocks! Our defense in the 3rd and most of the 4th quarter was not good. We let Hst make too many shots. I miss Brad Miller. We needed this win. Next game is Monday against the Thunder.
Derrick Rose scored 30 points, had 11 assists and 5 steals. Only two other Bulls have scored 30 points, with 10 assists and 5 steals since the 1986-87 season -- Michael Jordan (4 times), Scottie Pippen (twice), and now Derrick Rose (Saturday).
Wow, that was a strange game. Houston wasn't playing particularly well but neither are the Bulls right now. It's nice to see Boozer getting acclimated so quickly. The Bulls may be able to run some sets with him and Taj which will be important up until the point when we trade Gibson -- and that really needs to happen. I have always been a proponent of the fact that you can also use three big men, but Boozer and Gibson's skill set overlap so much that it looks like we won't be able to fully use both of them. We need a two guard, I wish there was just some better options out there for possible acquisitions. I don't quite know what to make of this team. Preseason, I thought they were likely to be a second round playoff team and have a shot of making it to the conference finals, which sounds about right. But that's a hard place to be. It's kind of like a no-mans land; just on the cusp of being in the bright spotlight, but woefully short.
