Those two stops in the redzone will cost OSU the game. Field goals won't win. They should have gone for it.
Nice to be able to breathe again! The Beavers played balls out - kudos to them - and the Ducks did just enough to win. Hopefully, it will be enough to stay in the top 2 and get into the title game!
Great win by the Ducks. The defense is kinda scaring me though. I think Auburn will do well against it. I also think our offense has been suspect at best in a few games this year. I hope they do something a little different agianst the Tigers. The runs directly into the line of scrimmage might not work as well against them. That being said, they are undefeated, and Kelly is way smarter than I am when it comes to offensive football
While it's not official, I have a hard time imagining Oregon getting jumped by two teams that don't play another game
I agree on all points MM. I'm scared about our defense. They play hard, but they give up big plays, especially on third down. Keep in mind though, we've got roughly a month to get healthy. I think LMJ hasn't been healthy for a few games now, and he can use the rest. There was a definite difference between how our offense played with Barner and how they did with James. Barner seemed more explosive.
Relieved. Happy, but mostly relieved. Sad isn't it? Watching the players after the game soak up the moment has made me feel a bit better. You gotta feel good for them. It's been a magical ride so far.
So just got home. I think chip Kelly really has me bought into his system. Cause my wife even mentioned it was funny that I'm not celebrating. One more round to go in this championship fight. Just like DT said "we aren't done yet" this break will do wonders to get lamichael healthy and rested. And hopefully Tuinei will be good to go by then cause he is sorely missed blocking on the perimeter. And on the 3rd downs I gotta disagree... Oregon has been near the top of the PAC and the nation iirc on 3rd down efficiency and osu has been near the bottom. Aberation methinks. All in all super proud how focused this team has stayed. And wasn't super nervous this game for some reason. Not As disrespect to the beavers... I just didn't worry much cause it would have taken an awful lot of perfection for osu to win. But again they played their hearts out and I commend them
Here is the link sorry it's difficult on an iPod. But Oregon is 9th in the nation In 3rd down efficiency defense Giving up a first down on 3rd down 32.58 % of the time http://www.ncaa.com/sports/m-footbl...m-3rd-down-conversion-percentage-defense.html
