Yea Phoenix will try their standard cheat off of Batum move, most likely.

You've got it backwards. This HELPS our defense, while it kills our offense.

ie, we will struggle to score 40 by halftime.

I think this makes the logical choice. Our bench is already weak and you know how Nate is about preserving his second unit.

A year ago they would have made Bayless the starter without even thinking about it. Now our coach spends most of his time trying to figure out how to get by with less Johnson and Mills on the floor as possible.

Agreed. No point guard on the floor has not worked for us. Defensively I would put Batum on Nash. Offensively slow the game to a snail's pace. Grind it Grind it and grind it out some more

Since Nate seems to let the players make the decisions for the team, I wonder who made this one?

Assuming Nate still controls anything the team does, it will all depend on what defense the team plays tonight. Roy should never leave Grant Hill on defense, so to protect tat, the Blazers should switch between their zone and a disguised diamond and 1 with Matthews chasing Nash around

    That's why he's gone.

Just like we did against SA when Bayless started?

If I remember correctly, we had the same winning % with Bayless starting as we did without. That coul dbe wrong though because I really don't know if I remember that correctly

and that is why you never stop impressing people with your basktball knowledge. I can guarantee that every post you make, everybody is amazed with how knowledgeable you are about hoops and evaluating talent. What is even more amazing is how so many of the players you think are great, the whole NBA misses out on and sends packing back to Europe. They just don't know what you know I guess.

i think this starting 5 could work...with roys comments in quicks article saying he doesnt have the personnel around him to be effective...wes and batum can both hit the the 3 with some regularity and will spread the floor more...we shall see. plus maybe roys knees magically feel better with andre miller not in the lineup...:ghoti:
