UFC 131 scheduled for the SkyDome in April & show in Brazil about to be announced

    UFC 131 - April 30th, 2011
    Rogers Centre (SkyDome), Toronto, Ontario

    The UFC is planning its biggest event ever at the SkyDome (Rogers Centre) in Toronto this spring. The show will be the UFC's first in Ontario and is expected to draw between 40-60,000 fans, crushing the UFC's attendance record of 21,461 at the Centre Bell in Montreal.


    In related news, UFC President Dana White, along with some prominent Brazilian UFC stars, are traveling to Brazil in mid-December and are expected to announce an upcoming show in Brazil in 2011. The UFC last held an event in Brazil in 1998.

    I'm excited for that Brazil event. I expect Anderson Silva to headline it. I expect Wanderlei and Belfort to be on the card, as well. Maybe the Nogs?

    A card featuring Anderson Silva, the Nogs, Wanderlei, Thiago Alves, Paulo Thiago, Thiago Silva, Vitor Belfort....man if the UFC could fit all those guys onto one card, that would be awesome.
