McMillan has converted a 6-5 white SG into a starting PG before. Brent Barry was his PG between Gary Payton and Luke Ridnour. After they traded Payton for Ray Allen, it was an emergency at PG, but Barry performed brilliantly for a couple of seasons until injuries overtook him. Playing out of position, he played PG deliberately and slowly, but made the intelligent pass every time. (Detlef Schrempf had played the same way for them.) Ever since we got Rudy, I've been thinking, when will McMillan feel forced to make another Brent Barry out of him.
