Matthews-Roy sort of reminds me of Sprewell-Houston. And Camby reminds me of Camby, lol. Today's Camby isn't that much of a drop off from the 99 Camby. In some ways, today's Camby is better. That Knicks team grabbed the 8 seed and went to the Finals. Maybe Camby is telling his teammates that we can have a similar chance if we keep up the good fight. That Knicks team was totally struggling near the end of the season, getting blown out by bad teams and then they just clicked all of the sudden.

On that note, do you think Jeff Van Gundy would be a good coach for our team?

High energy, good defense. Knicks started two shooting guards, Spree and Houston, just like we are doing. That's the comparison I'm making. Two guards who can score 20+ on the same night.

The East was really weak that year and the Knicks played like 40 regular season games.

You're right about that season but it was still a remarkable turnaround because the Knicks were getting crushed by teams. It looked like they wouldn't even make the playoffs and then they flipped a switch. Similar to the 1995 Rockets. They sucked after the Drexler trade but then found their way through those playoffs, from down 1-2 in the first round and down 1-3 in the second round, and won the damn thing. By the way, no one ever talks about it but if Barkley hits two free throws at the end of regulation in Game 6 of that second round series, the Rockets don't win that title. I bet Orlando would've. Maybe San Antonio. Man, a Shaq/DRob Finals would've been cool.

Jeff van Gundy is not someone I'd want to be part of my franchise. The way he not only defended Garnett's behavior, but instead attacked Villenueva was disgusting.
